How I draw space for hair right now.

That's a weird sentence...

Considering how much I've changed my process for drawing space hair I'm sure this is far from my final strategy. But I think this is about the time where I've gotten a seriously good hold on it.

So you can use almost any colours for drawing space. Like, google "beautiful space photos" and you'll see that space has green, red, yellow, blue, pink and so on in its spectra.

Most importantly about drawing space is to always remember two things:

Cookie Clutter Composition and Space has a lot of stars.

I learned about cookie clutter composition from this tutorial Feature Distribution Toot by mldoxy
Basically, all things tend to want to clutter up together rather than spreading out completely uniform. This is especially true about things in space because of gravity. You know? The fact that matter attracts matter, so stars would probably cluster up together a lot. Just keep that in mind when distributing your stars.

Secondly, space has a lot of stars. Actually, what we colloquially call "stars," and what we are able to see with our naked eyes can actually be anything from a tiny asteroid, to a planet, to a star, to even an entire galaxy. But what I mean here for this tootorial are just white dots. And there are a lot of them.

Just head outside on a cloudfree night, go out of your town and you'll see that there are way more stars than you might think when you imagine a night sky. Or if you hate winter as much as I do, stay inside and google "night sky stars" and you'll see that there are a lot of stars out there. So if you're gonna draw a starry sky, draw more stars than you think is necessary.
